BASIC INFO ON SUPPRESSORS
- Suppressor is a Legendary Heavy Duty Weapon with a magazine size of 6.
- The 6, 10, and 12 energy variants are available for Credits in the Gear Hub, while the 8 and 16 energy variants cost A-Coins.
CORE MECHANICS
- The main thing for Suppressor is its "Damage Drain" effect, which stacks up to 6 times on an enemy Mech (applying 1 stack per shot).
- "Damage Drain" reduces the damage output of the enemy based on total stacks:
* Initial stack: -15% damage
* Subsequent stacks: -5% per stack
* Maximum effect: -40% damage at 6 stacks
- This effect also works against modded opponents.
PROS & CONS
Pros:
- Deals damage per shot similar to Storm Racks.
- High accuracy and fast projectile speed (325 at rank 5+), which counters Mechs like Lacewing to some extent.
- Has a 5-meter splash radius, which essentially makes it good at damaging opponents behind cover.
- Fast 6-second reload speed for a weapon with these stats.
Cons:
- Relatively low rate of fire (38 RPM).
- The projectile has a large hit box, making it difficult to shoot around tight corners or through narrow gaps.
- Projectiles fire slightly from below (similar to Hornet), making ground-splash hits harder on flat terrain.
- Weak against Slot A Mods, especially Multiple Layer Mods, due to its small magazine capacity.
SUPPRESSOR BUILDS
- For the end game, the best variants are 12 and 16. Due to Suppressor's low burst DMG, the 16s are best used on 32 energy capacity Mechs like Blockhorn, Salvor, Outlaw, and Solis (or double 12s on Lacewing).
- For the mid game, Suppressor 6, 8, and 12 are great on Mimicker, Eclipse, Aegis, and Orion.
IMPLANTS & PRIORITY
- It has one of the highest numbers of options to pick from. Implants Suppressor DMG, Suppressor Range, Suppressor Radius, and Suppressor Reload exist in all 3 Rarities (Legendary, Epic, and Rare) while the Damage Drain % is only Legendary.
- Priority Order: Damage > Reload > Radius > Damage Drain % > Range
- Optimal Build: Suppressor Damage, Suppressor Reload, and 2 Ability Implants.
PLAYSTYLE & GAMEPLAY
- Suppressor is best used on supporting backliner Mechs, since it will do well in long-range fights, as it has high accuracy, range, and projectile speed, and can even hit hidden opponents with its range.
- On Mechs like Blockhorn, the serious damage at mid range from Suppressors is very solid as a damaging build.
- On Mechs like Lacewing, Suppressor’s Radius can be used to the full extent, as Radius DMG is easier to hit from above.
- Suppressor can be played as a passive support type Weapon, as you should be applying the effect to as many opponents as possible, so your team survives longer.
