Mods are equipment attached to a Mech that increases the Mech's survivability in battle. Mods provide additional Shields or increase the HP of the Mech.
Each Mech has a separate set of Mods. Every Mech can have 4 different Mods in specialized slots simultaneously. Each slot can contain a specific type of Mod.
Slot A:
- Blockade — a single-layered elliptical front-facing Shield
- Blockade ML — an elliptical Multi-Layer front-facing Shield
- Perimeter — a single-layered ring-shaped Shield around the Mech
- Perimeter ML — a multi-layered ring-shaped Shield around the Mech
Slot B:
- Canopy — grants the Mech a single-layered Overhead Shield
Slot C:
- Hardened Hull — grants the Mech additional HP
Slot D:
- Galvanic Hull — grants extra HP and absorbs only bonus damage from Extra damage of back and side hits and double damage. Your main HP still receives the base damage to the hit.
Note: Mods are Mech-specific. Once installed, they can't be moved to another Mech.
Equipped Mods
Each Mod has 2 Rarities:
- Epic
- Legendary
Mod HP is calculated as a percentage of the Mech's Max HP.
Availability
The Mods are accessible as soon as the player's Mech reaches Rank 3.
Upgrading
You can upgrade your Mods using Mod Parts.
The first 2 Levels of any Mod are upgraded with Basic Mod Parts.
The last 3 Levels of any Mod are upgraded using Elite Mod Parts.
Mod Levels
Mod Levels are capped by your Mech's Rank. Meaning that if you equip Mods on a Rank 3 Mech, you will be able to upgrade them to Level 3 only. To raise the Mod's Level, you would also have to upgrade your Mech.
This interaction is similar to how Implants and Pilots work.
How to get Mod Parts
Basic and Elite Mod Parts can be obtained in Events or purchased in the Shop.
