Welcome, Pilots!
Your Hangar configuration is more than just a collection of your favorite gear - it is the blueprint that shapes your entire combat experience. How you assemble, upgrade, and organize your Mechs directly influences the challenge level and types of opponents you encounter on the battlefield.
To ensure your battles feel fair, rewarding, and fun, let’s dive into how to optimize your Hangar loadout effectively.
The Power of Balance: Rarity and Equipment
What you choose to equip in your active Hangar plays a massive role in determining the strength of the enemies you face. A well-balanced Hangar leads to well-balanced battles.
- Mix with Caution: Mixing exceptionally high-rarity (Epic/Legendary) gear with beginner-rarity (Common/Uncommon/Rare) gear can distort your Hangar’s overall power profile. This can inadvertently place you in battles against highly optimized opponents.
- Aim for Uniformity: For the smoothest combat experience, try to deploy Mechs, Weapons, and Pilots that are relatively close to one another in rank, level, and rarity.
Maximizing Hangar Presets
Hangar Presets are a powerful tool designed to give you tactical flexibility, but they look at your overall account progression rather than just a single snapshot.
Important Note on Preset Strength:
Switching to a lower-powered or "weak" preset will not automatically pair you against weaker opponents if your account possesses much stronger gear. The game takes your selected Hangar Presets' potential and highest achievements into account to maintain a fair environment for everyone.
Tailor Presets to Specific Game Modes
Instead of using presets to alter your power level, use them for their intended purpose: tactical specialization. We highly recommend creating distinct, optimized presets for different game modes:
- Free-For-All (FFA): Focus on high-damage, self-sustaining Mechs that can secure quick kills and survive without a team.
- Control Point Clash (CPC): Prioritize speed, stealth, and tanky Mechs capable of rushing and holding objectives.
-
5v5 Deathmatch: Build a balanced squad featuring a mix of support, long-range fire, and frontline brawlers to complement your teammates.
Hangar Showdown: Leagues and Upgrades
It can be incredibly exciting to unlock a powerful new Mech, a high-tier Weapon, or a Legendary Pilot. However, rushing into higher Leagues based on a single piece of equipment can lead to a steep jump in difficulty.
-
Avoid the "Single Carry" Trap:
Do not push deep into higher divisions just because you have one incredibly strong asset. If the rest of your Hangar cannot keep up, you may find your combat encounters becoming overwhelming.
-
Upgrade Evenly:
Prioritize upgrading your entire Hangar as a cohesive unit. A squad of five solidly upgraded, evenly matched Mechs will always perform more reliably than a squad with one superstar and four under-leveled backups.
Take your time, balance your loadout, and build a Hangar that grows naturally with your skill level!
