A lot of players hit the late-game energy wall and immediately assume they need to get the newest Mechs to compete. However, if you scale your Energy Capacity correctly, some of the most accessible Mechs in the game can absolutely dominate top-tier lobbies.
Here is how to optimize a high-energy squad using Guardian, Paragon, and Puma.
1. GUARDIAN (The Meta-Breaker Anchor)
Guardian’s System Crash is arguably the best ability in the game for shutting down aggressive pushes from Surge or Zephyr. When you max out Guardian’s Energy Capacity, it shifts from a defensive wall into an offensive powerhouse.
- Loadout Strategy: Equip high-burst, high-energy Weapons like dual Missile Racks or Railguns.
- Playstyle: Play around corners. Let the enemy push, strip their Abilities through walls using System Crash, and delete them with high-energy bursts before their Abilities come back.
2. PARAGON (The Heavy Flanker)
Paragon is heavily underestimated in late-game Hangars. Players often look at its base stats and assume it's just a starter Mech, but pairing its Dash ability with high-energy weapons can make it terrifying.
- Loadout Strategy: Equip high-damage, single-shot weapons—such as EM Rifles or heavy Sniper builds.
- Playstyle: Use Dash to sprint into unexpected firing lanes, take your high-energy shots, and relocate immediately. You aren't brawling—you're playing hit-and-run at a weight class most opponents don't expect.
3. PUMA (The Tactical Support)
Puma’s Barrier requires smart positioning, making it the perfect anchor for holding beacons or covering long reload times on heavy Weapons.
- Loadout Strategy: Sustained-damage Weapons work best here, such as Carbines.
- Playstyle: Drop the barrier at choke points to force enemies to waste ammo, or use it to protect your Guardian while its System Crash is on a cooldown.
