Free-For-All (FFA) is a high-octane, 10-player game mode where it's every Pilot for themselves. There are no teams, no allies, and no assists, just you against 9 other players. The goal is simple: secure the most frags to win.
Unlock Requirements
To enter the FFA arena, you must meet the following conditions:
- You must have Tournament mode unlocked (reach Division 4).
- You must have exactly 5 Mechs equipped in your active Hangar.
Note: FFA is exclusively available within the Tournament format.
Match Rules
- Player Count: 10 players total.
- Duration: Matches last exactly 5 minutes with no overtime.
- Winning Condition: The top 3 players with the most Kills at the end of the timer are declared the winners and receive Match Win Medals. If there is a tie, the player who reached the kill count first gets priority.
The Kill Count Mechanics
- Securing a final blow on an enemy Mech awards +1 Kill.
- You can manually change your Mech during battle, but doing so penalizes you with -1 Kill. Your score can go negative, but will never drop below -5 Kills.
Unique FFA Mechanics
1. Mech Healing after Kill
Every time you destroy an enemy Mech, your current Mech instantly restores 30% of its maximum HP.
- This can be triggered an unlimited number of times per match.
- Healing cannot exceed your Mech's maximum HP.
Note: HP-boosting Pilot skills (like those for M.D. or Stalker) do not increase this 30% heal.
2. Kill Leader Status
The current top-performing Pilot is designated as the match Kill Leader.
- How to get it: You must secure at least 3 Kills AND have the highest kill count in the match.
- Visibility: Becoming the Kill Leader triggers a global notification in the Kill Feed and an on-screen HUD animation. An icon will constantly display above your Mech, making you a target for everyone else.
- Losing Status: You only lose the title if another player surpasses your score by at least +1 Kill, or if you destroy your own Mech and lose points.
3. Hangar Reuse
Unlike other modes, you can use the same Mech multiple times in a single match!
- You cannot reuse a Mech until you have cycled through and spawned all 5 Mechs from your Hangar battle group.
- Once all 5 have been used once, your entire Hangar refreshes, and all Mechs become available for respawn again.
Note: Battle Achievements tied to a "single Mech lifecycle" reset and count separately each time that Mech is respawned.
Combat & UI Adjustments
- Radar & Visibility: Enemy Mechs are highlighted on your HUD and minimap from the exact moment they spawn. However, Mechs using Stealth abilities remain hidden according to normal rules.
- No Assists: Assist points and Assist-related Battle Achievements are entirely disabled. Only the final blow matters.
Match End: MVP & Medals
MVP Screen
- At the end of the match, the MVP screen showcases the top 3 individual Mechs based on their total Battle Score (calculated using Kills, Damage, and Achievements).
Match Medals
Players can earn unique performance medals in 4 main categories:
- Most Kills
- Most Damage (DMG)
- Least Mech Spawns: Awarded to the player who survived the longest while spawning the fewest number of times.
- Most Time as a Kill Leader: Awarded to the Pilot who successfully defended their Kill Leader status the longest.
