All online games share similar technical issues and challenges.
This article explains what errors you can encounter and what causes them.
Lag
Lag is a delay between a user's action and the game's response. It is typically caused by high latency or ping, which indicates a slow or unstable internet connection. Other factors, including hardware limitations, can also contribute to lag.
Enable the FPS and ping indicator in Settings to check your FPS and ping in the Mech arena. If your FPS drops below 30 FPS, then the hardware is most likely unable to run the game effectively. If your ping is 90ms or more, your connection is likely not stable or fast enough.
Game Freezes, Connection drops
Online games freeze for various reasons. This includes a poor internet connection, insufficient system resources, or issues with the game itself. Learn how to understand the reason for the problem based on the following error messages:
-
"Failed to Start Battle" or "Connection Lost" errors usually indicate that the connection timed out after you attempted to connect to the server. They refer to connection issues on the player's side.
These errors tend to appear if the player is using a cellular connection. Mobile connection quality and speed may vary significantly, depending on the current load and your physical distance from the cellular tower. To ensure an optimal connection, we suggest using Wi-Fi.
Failed to start battle error
- If the issue is with our server, you will receive a "Server Maintenance" error message. This error message appears when the game can't connect to our servers.
Server maintenance notification
Our developers constantly monitor the servers' performance. If there are server errors or other issues, we will let you know. We also monitor all the errors that you receive and how often any given error message appears among players. So, if there are any issues with the game, we will be aware of them and fix them as soon as possible.
